I’m a filmmaker and storyteller with a deep passion for creating meaningful content that highlights the real and the beautiful.
My goal is to promote the South West, and eventually all of Western Australia and beyond, through high-quality visual storytelling. I’m not just chasing views or trends. I’m here to support and showcase the people, places, and companies that pour their hearts into what they do. I want to help those who are genuine, who care, and who deserve to be seen. Through honest filmmaking and powerful visuals, I aim to share their stories with the world in a way that’s moving, purposeful, and true.
I’ve been working in video production for a decade, creating content that tells real, meaningful stories.
My experience spans across Australia and internationally, including projects in Costa Rica, Panama and Peru. I’ve worked on tourism campaigns, small business promos, live events, and environmental documentaries often in remote and unique locations. Clients and collaborators have included tourism operators, musicians, local businesses, and organisations like the Osa Institute and Global Sustainability Collective. From concept to final delivery, I handle everything like filming, interviews, editing, sound, colour grading, and storytelling.
What drives me is purpose, creating visuals that connect, inspire, and leave a lasting impact.
My journey into filmmaking started early as a body double in Jasper Jones, I found myself immersed in the world of storytelling.
While on set, I spent time behind the camera, learning from the crew and observing how stories were brought to life. That experience sparked something in me a passion for visual storytelling that’s guided me ever since.
In 2018, I completed work experience during pre-production of RAMS, gaining hands-on insight into how professional films are developed from the ground up. More recently, I worked on Mystery Road: Origin Season 2 (2024), capturing behind the scenes content as the Electronic Press Kit (EPK) Videographer. I’ve worked with short films by western Australian film makers. ive done work experience in creative industry’s in Margret river and beyond.
Alongside industry work, I’ve been honing my craft through formal study I’m currently studying a degree in Film, deepening my understanding of narrative, cinematography, and production design. My practical experience supports my education, and vice versa.
I’ve been a finalist in CinefestOZ’s Cinesnaps Short Film competition, and I’ve travelled around Australia and the world creating content that explores people, place, and identity. From documenting maritime environments to filming deep in the jungles of Costa Rica, I’ve worked with conservationists, artists, and communities to tell real stories that matter.
Through Kieran Dearle Media, I bring together professional video, photography, and storytelling blending technical skill with a deep respect for the land and the people who live on it. My journey is still unfolding, but with every frame I shoot, I’m building something bigger: a career built on purpose, story, and connection.
